Duong Phan| Accompanist

Mr. Duong Phan is the Accompanist for the Los Alamitos High School Choral Program. He is proud to join this program starting in the 2024-2025 school year.

Prior to joining the choral team, he has been playing for weddings, various festivals/farmers markets, and ballet classes. He also had the chance to play for musicals throughout Southern California, which includes: The Lightning Thief, Grease, and Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat. He is also the current principle accompanist for the Orange County Gay Men’s Chorus.

Mr. Phan began his piano studies at the age of 5 with Mr. Brian Barclay. With him, he has won numerous MTAC awards and eventually graduated from the Orange County School of the Arts. He went on to study piano with Dr. David Kaplan at UCLA where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance. During his time there, he was accepted into the Amalfi Music and Arts Festival where he took masterclasses with world renowned pianists as well as perform on beautiful stages on the Amalfi Coast.

During his spare time, he enjoys rock climbing, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
